EEVblog #351 – Silicon Chip Magazine – Electronex 2012Posted on September 14th, 2012 3 comments
A short interview with Nicholas Vinen and Leo Simpson from Silicon Chip Magazine at Electronex 2012.
NOTE: The podcast version is now 640×360 instead of 480×270. File size and quality should remain very similar.
Thanks for dropping by and talking to us. We had a good time at the show; talked to a lot of people, got a lot of feedback and introduced some people to the magazine.
I also liked getting a chance to talk to vendors face-to-face. The exhibitors really do seem like a great group of people.
We should chat more often but there always seem to be urgent work to attend to!
All the best.
Contrary to my wishes my late father gave away all of my old EA and ETI mags in the back shed because he said that you could get them on CD ROM That was over 15 years ago !!
I miss reading the old articles and projects to see how things used to be. I think history is an important part of any engineering discipline. Hopefully the folks at SC can somehow get around the issues of putting the old mags on DVD. I for one would buy it in a flash
When I checked a long time ago, you could purchase digital access to all the backissues of SC for around US$300 or so, which includes PDFs of all the issues back to the first…
I was sorely considering it – I do like SC and miss it here in North America (it’s why they have digital issues – you can get them for $4 an issue rather than $20 after shipping).
Not sure if the price has gone up because it was a few years ago that I checked and there’s obviously a lot more back issues now :).
