The viewfinder power could be a 12V. From a quick search for viewfinder connector pinout:
Video Viewfinder Connector eg DXC-3000, MX3
1 Gnd (12v return)
2 Rec/Tally Out
3 (spare)
4 VF Video Out (G)
5 Battery Indicator, Out
6 VF Video Out (X) 1v p/p
7 + 12v out (10.6~17v, 3A)
8 (sparefrom – http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?112410-Sony-Viewfinder-8-pin-pinout

Trimpots used for color and lumincnce calibration… some for the RGB data from the sensor and some for YCbCr data to be recorded on tape. The externally accessible ones are probably for post production calibration.

I noticed this interesting article today at Hack A Day and thought I’d share it here since the article speaks on how a simple power supply and composite input would be all that is required to make these little tubes useful.
