Of course, the downside to reflow soldering is you can’t do through-hole parts at the same time… and leading to through-hole parts having to be manually soldered.
if you look carefully at the teardown, you’ll see all the through-hole parts are on the top, the surface mount on the bottom, so just passing the bottom through the wave soldering machine will solder both types of parts in a single pass.

you can solder through hole components with reflow. For example with the Pin in Paste process
