Just wanted to let people know that BOMs (bill of materials) from Altium Designer can now be imported into PartsBox (
https://partsbox.io/). This makes creating projects much easier, as you don't have to create the list of parts from scratch, you can import it from a CSV BOM.
PartsBox is an online tool to keep track of electronic parts, projects and production. Think ERP/MRP, but small, fast, easy to use and specialized for electronics design and production. BOM import has been a much-requested feature, especially from people doing commercial work, so I thought I'd post here.
After you import a BOM, you can check if it can be built using the parts you have, get up-to-date pricing (PartsBox takes care of all the tedious work usually done in spreadsheets: price breaks, MOQs, multiple currencies and currency conversions, etc). You can also easily compare online offers from distributors with local offers you get from sales reps, as well as add costs of labor, shipping, etc.
Importing from KiCad is available for everyone, while importing from commercial CAD systems requires a paid subscription.
