I need a way get a DxDesigner schematic project into Altium
The Altium Import Wizard just creates a blank workspace, and I fear it's an old import "feature" as the wiki is years old. There's no log error messages.
Any ideas how to migrate a design over to Altium before I die a slow death in Mentor.

Beats me. Have you called tech support?

I assume you have the Dx Designer plugin installed and your using the 'import wizard' not just trying to open it directly? I remember I had a similar problem with importing something and it was because I didn't actually have the plugin installed
. It didn't give me any errors, just created a blank doc.

I had to do the same in the past, I managed to export the schematic to OrCad 9, checked in OrCad, then imported to Altium. It had lots of errors, especially on the power nets (bad or missing GND and Vcc symbols).
