Auto Release License on Program Close?

Any way to set up Altium Designer to auto-release the license when you close the program?

Why would you want such a horrible feature? If this was implemented properly, Altium wouldn't be able to sell nearly as many licenses! 

But seriously, if anyone knows, this would be great. We're constantly running into this problem at work - someone finishes up with Altium, closes it and walks across the building to do something else while the seat is still tied up for a few hours. We have five seats between eight EEs and we're a consulting outfit, so this can cause serious problems sometimes.

Seems like this is firmly in "feature request" territory. We would definitely like to be able to do this or at least time-out "viewer only" licenses.

Couldn't agree more.  Truly annoying and bad design.

And pass along to other users.  More votes => more likely implemented

You could use something like Macro Express to create a Windows macro to "release license and shut down", and distribute that to all the users - and require them to shut down using that macro.
