Component Pin INput from Excell.
« on: January 19, 2019, 08:48:10 pm »
I have a 670 pin BGA to create in Altium.  I have the pin descriptions in Excel,   i'm wondering is there any way to autoamaticlly import them.
Smart Paste only lets you copy onto parts that already exisit, so it seems i need to at a mimimum create all the pins, by hand.

Use the SCH List Panel.

Tim, that only allows you to edit/paste data into pins that already exisit.

I found that you can do this by usign the compoent wizard, and you can paste in new pin data.

Meh, copy and paste pins until you have enough of them.  Then set in List. :)

Or paste array (if it's in SCHLIB Editor? I forget).

You'll probably want to scratch everything together on one symbol/sheet, then copy parts out to separate IO banks or however you like dividing up those beasts.

in schlib editor : use the schematic part wizard. you can copy paste the table in there directly.
