How do I highlight a net in the PCB editor?
« on: September 28, 2014, 10:47:50 pm »
I'm trying to find all tracks which belong to a certain net. I googled it and found how to do it in the schematic editor here.

I want to do the same thing in the PCB editor. How do I do it?

Thank you. That works.

But there is one more thing. I need to find the location of a net before highlighting it. For instance, I'm trying to find and highlight a net named 'HB1_1'. How do I locate it in the PCB document?

Lots of things:
- CTRL+click on the net (assuming you are already looking at part of it!)
- There may be a dropbox on the menu bar (exactly what you're looking for!).
- I think the Design/Nets menu or dialog has some highlight features.
- PCB panel, dropbox I think
- PCB List panel, select nets / objects in net
- PCB Filter panel, Net = '<net name>' (can also filter... well, any damn thing you can think of)
- Place a bit of track, edit it to assign net manually, then CTRL+click to mask the rest, or P, T (begin routing) and click on the trace (same as CTRL+click but shows the ratsnest to the rest)
- etc...
