How to link multiple components with their supplier informations in one step?

I would like to update every selected component and link it to a manufacturer part number. I've tried via the SCHLIB list panel but it looks like that I can't edit nor find the supplier* columns.

Am I doing it wrong?

those columns are automatically added.
in the schlib simply add the part info.
save the schlib and then do an update from lib in the schematic. that will pull in the data.
