How to run simple keyboard macros ?
« on: May 10, 2018, 01:09:36 pm »
I could have sworn I used to be able to do this in Protel but is it possible to assign a sequence of a few keyboard or menu commands to a single stroke sequence in Altium ?

cheers

You can edit the shortcut keys (https://techdocs.altium.com/display/ADRR/Shortcut+Keys) but I'm not aware of any way to combine several into one keystroke within Altium.

Maybe try https://autohotkey.com/ - its free and very good.

You can assign user scripts to shortcut keys, if that works for you.

Would have been nice for Altium to generate a command line equivalent of each action like it can with the Filtering function. And then you can later copy and paste and create a macro from it.

Not everyone has the time to fiddle around with Pascal scripts !

cheers

simply store the filter in your preferences.
