Title: Need help finding a keyboard shortcut that I forgot...
Post by: crispytato on December 23, 2017, 09:05:20 am
So, I've been away from Altium for a good while, and in the process, I forgot an essential keyboard shortcut, one which I've had zero luck finding online or in the menus... I'm probably just using the wrong keywords, but I've got no idea what they call the feature so I've had zero luck finding this super simple thing. so annoying!  |O

Basically, it just dims all the other layers but the one you're currently working on. It's a toggle, and I'm pretty sure it's ctrl-(something) or shift-(something) but the exact combo is evading me, and I don't want to mess everything up spamming various ctrl/shift key combos till I find it!

Thanks very much!

I believe you are looking for SHIFT + S which stands for "single layer" mode. Indeed it is a toggle on & off.

Yes, shift 'S' as indicated above. But there are options associated with it.

You can dim, gray out, or black out the other layers with this command, depending on your selected options (in display preferences if I recall correctly).
