Origin markers on components in 3D view
« on: August 26, 2017, 05:23:46 pm »
Hi,

I have weird crosses at the origin (it seems to be) of some components in 3D view. Look at D1. I create my own footprints and use downloaded 3D models. Most of my components don't have these markers. How can I get rid of them?

I use Altium 17.

Thanks,

When placing a 3D STEP in the library, there is an option to include an origin marker.  I have been able to get rid of these by editing the component in my pcb library, double-clicking the 3D body to open its properties, and deleting the origin marker.  I then recompile the library and update the PCB.  Perhaps there is an easier method, but this does solve the problem.

Yep, there was a snap point defined. Deleting it solved the problem. Thank You very much! :)
