Strange Altium 3D problem, no soldermask !
« on: March 24, 2017, 07:58:24 pm »
Hello, i guess i pressed something or Altium is just buggy, but for some reason i can't get solder mask to show up. I clearly have it in layers, but just can't see it.

Did try to press Shift+S, but that does not help, also opacity settings are correct in Layer manager.

Any idea what i did, and how to fix this ? It is not a big problem, but still, want to see complete board :) ( It is same on 17, and 16 versions, all legal)

Layer Set?

Design > Manage Layer Sets > Boards Layer Sets

Layer Stack? Has the Top/Bottom Solder layer been deleted / thickness?

Solder mask opacity setting?

Right click on board -> Options -> Board Layers and Colors -> solder mask check-boxes and opacity sliders in 'Colors and Visibility' section

No, they are 100% as i stated in my first post picture. Changing scenes did not help also.

Design > Layer Stack Manager

No, it is enabled, and  0.0106mm thick (default value)

I did all of those in the first place, but it is something else...

Ah, sorry, I missed your second image in your post.

What about solder mask expansion rules?  A large enough expansion could result in no mask on the board.
What does the mask layer look like in 2D mode?

Hm, you are right, somehow i have no top and bottom solder mask, only on TH pins, but how could i done this ?

But I have Top and Bottom Paste. So how the hell i could disable top and bottom solde rmask on every pad and every track ?  :-//

Basically i have a layer, but it is nearly empty, only multilayer show up on this layer  |O

I have it on gerbers, but i don't see it in altium, or in 3D, somehing is horibly wrong here.

and if i select top solder layer, and make square, it does not show up :D  :-DD So i think it is something to do with Altium itself

Found a problem !  |O

When i was defying board outline, i simply selected pcb outline that i made in keep out layer, but in the middle of pcb i found tiny zero size and length dot in keep out layer.

It messed up all of this, because Altium was thinking that was my board :D:D

After deleting and redefining board, it started working again.
