Unified Components
« on: February 20, 2017, 11:39:27 am »
I thought this may be useful for the Altium users out there: https://nickdademo.blogspot.com/2017/02/altium-unified-components-catch-em-all.html

Not having a single download link for all the UC libraries (and that annoying requirement to provide my contact details on every download) frustrated me enough to write a Python script that downloads them all in around 5 minutes (~1GB) >:D

Feedback welcome ;)

Had to do something like this to get it to work:

sudo apt-get install python3.5
pip3 install -U selenium
sudo npm -g install phantomjs-prebuilt (or install this manually from their website, not sure how)
python3.5 download_all_altium_unified_components.py

Maybe a torrent can be setup later

Those steps look right for Linux ;)

I updated the blog post with the actual steps needed if using Windows.
