Via template tenting settings ignored?
« on: May 25, 2016, 06:03:46 pm »
Hey, I'm having an annoying problem with vias. I have defined the templates in a library to be soldermask tented. When i drag them from library onto the pcb it works fine, but when i try to use them when interactively routing, the always have a soldermask opening. I can change that by editing properties for all vias, butt I can't seem to find a way to place them that way.

I have looked for some new rule in design rules panel, but there doesn't seem to be one. What am I missing?

Nah, not this.

It seems that Altium will try to copy via styles from library to local resource of some description and the do stupid shit to them. Turns out you cann set minimum/maximum via sizes to follow particular template rather than size and this seems to have done the job. Vias are tented as they should.

To be honest I'm not the biggest fan of the new via and pad system at all...
