Interview/episode request
« on: February 08, 2015, 05:20:56 am »
Hey there, been a long time listener and thought I'd shoot an interview request your way. Maybe this would be more up the embedded.fm alley, but I'd really like an episode on beaglebone black development (or embedded linux in general), and possibly an interview with Derek Molloy. The guy wrote a fantastic book on getting started with the beaglebone black, and as a newcomer to learning about embedded development, I'd love to learn some more.

Not sure how open to the idea you guys/he would be, but the guy has got a fantastic teaching style and could provide some material we haven't really heard much of on the show.

Could be cool! Do you happen to know Derek and could introduce us?

We have had Jason Kridner on, one of the founding members of BeagleBoard: http://www.theamphour.com/the-amp-hour-59-bonafide-beagleboard-bionomics/

:-DD I could just imagine the shit slinging around the world. US, AUS and UK.

Chris runs contextual electronics which concentrates heavily on KiCad which is also free. So there could be some conflict of interest.

If only free electron could join in as well, a battle royale for nerds.

+1.  He implemented single handedly a full EDA package so there must be an interesting story behind it.

A proper disclosure will resolve it.

Actually, Chriss is a good mediator, and a diplomatic person. I'm sure he can deal with it, no conflicts.
