4 channel oscilloscope
« on: March 18, 2015, 06:28:16 pm »
Which scope for learning on would someone consider a better oscilloscope  1104Z or SDS1204? Considering it for radio work, interested in getting into HAM radios and such. The SDS is 200 MHz with 2 Gs/s, would it be better for FFT? Does the Rigol still have too many firmware issues? I would have to pay for the 1104Z, because I would not hack anything it's kind of like stealing. So the prices are pretty close to each other. Does anyone even buy Siglent 1000 series scopes or the Waveace? Do Not see much info about them like the Rigol.
 Any advice would be appreciated.

The 1104Z is really good. Neither are really geared toward RF, but that shouldn't matter too much for starting out. You can get a lot done with just a scope.
