a new multimeter big issues
« on: January 02, 2016, 12:59:40 am »
 hello
i would like to buy a new multimeter
after doing some research i m considering to buy one of those

amprobe 520
uni-t ut61e
uni-t ut139c
it is for electronics (arduino-led ....)and some single phase AC uses ( measuring current voltage )  precision is not so important for me , input protection more
budget under 75 dollars

thanks

I would buy the uni-t ut61e as a first choice and the ut139c as a more economical choice. I do not know the Ampro but it's the only no TRMS of the 3.

The input protection of the UT61E is probably the worst out of the three though... There is a GS (European) version of the UT61E with better protection, but it's more expensive...  :-\

(The UT61E below in the comparison is the non-European version)

The UT139C is TRMS. I would recommend that over the UT61E.

Really a longshot, but Brymen BM805 is ~70 USD at TME.eu - It's a basic meter from their "old" series, no fancy features. But at least the input protection can be somewhat trusted i think.

On eBay, Fluke 17B+s are going for about USD 110, which is above the OP's budget. Not sure about 17Bs (for some reason Amazon is selling them for $148 - ripoffs)...  :-\
