active balancing li-ion cells
« on: June 07, 2017, 06:53:23 pm »
Hi Guys,

I am designing a li-ion (3.7 v) active balance based upon LTC3300-1 Chip for my 24v pack, the concept is that extra charger can be stored in a transformer and then can be provided to the battery stack or vice versa, the design uses multiple transformers for each cell and suggests 1:1 turn ratio, I want to know how this extra charge will be used when I will have multiple transformer providing charge @ 3.7 v in parallel to the 24v stack voltage, and if I increase the turn ratio and make it close to 24v will it increase the efficiency of charge transfer to the stack. ?

thanks,
Sanjeev
