I am providing pulsed 600v DC to a 500khz tank oscillator which of course rings with a sine wave.
I would like to make that sine wave "dirty" but do not want to make it into a saw-tooth or square wave.. simply "fuzzy" as if there were some vhf interference on it, but still a sine.
I don't mind dropping some of the voltage, so I was wondering about putting a few reverse-biased zener diodes in the circuit for noise.
Will that work? Any better ideas?

Where is this 600khz pulse coming from?
Are you generating it from an MCU?
Are you trying to create a spread-spectrum noise in your oscillator to weaken it's effect on radio broadcasts?

The initial pulse is being provided by a 555 timer and amplified to the voltage needed.
The Tank Oscillator takes the 600v pulse and then does it's job: Oscillating at 500kHz until losses cause it to stop (except there will be another pulse before then)
I have attached 2 oscillagrams. You will see one is quite pure and the other is a bit dirtier. I want the dirtier version, possibly more dirty than the example I have given.
