Alternatives to rechargeable LED "Moon Lamp" for my US friend's grandson?

As a 3D printing project I've wanted to build a small bedside "Moon Lamp" for my US friend's 1½ yo grandson. He loves moons.

Sadly the Malaysian manufacturers of the rechargeable LED light that sits inside the moon no longer make them.

I wondered if there might be a suitable alternative - a circuit I could assemble (I'm hopeless at electronics design)?

I'd be glad of any suggestions. I've included a pic of the pre-made board.
