Title: Amplifier
Post by: abdullahseba on July 08, 2014, 12:00:23 pm
can you connect lots of speakers to one amplifier board such as this?

or do you need a multi output board

Of course you can, just connect the speakers(serial or parallel) and plug it in one channel of the board(and then do the same for second channel).
The only problem is you need to choose appropriate speakers in order to have a good volume and not overload the amp(look for specks to calculate what speakers you need).
And of course you will have just L and R channels of stereo with this board, if you want to do some kind of 5.1 sound with different sound going to different speaker you will need different board.

The output is specified as 6-8 ohm.  So any combinations of speakers whose impedance works out to 6-8 ohms will work.  However, you will divide the power between the speakers used.
For example, you could use 2 of the same 4 ohm speakers in series.  But then each would be driven with half the power.

Sure you can connect any number of speakers.
As long as you maintain the load impedance within the range that the amplifier can handle.
And you understand how much sound to expect based on the output power available and the efficiency of your speakers.
