Hi everyone, I have an thermal imaging camera and I want to record video from it. It have a standard analog video out, but it don't have the ability to record on itself, so I need a external recorder, it need to have the ability to record the video from my TIC, while recording sound from another microphone (my TIC don't output any sound...), maybe take photos as well, and it need to be portable. But it needn't to have a screen because I can just view on my TIC screen (It's also ok to have one), also, no HD needed, as my TIC resolution is 320*240. I have looked for this for a loooooog time but still can't find a perfect one, however I have the following things found (According to EEV rules
):
1. Tons of these devices made by Chinese "companies" --- I absolutely don't want those! They are low quality and not reliable at all.
2. Pulsar Newton CVR640 --- No sound.
3. Old camcorders with AV in. --- Will work, but extra cost, weight, size for the useless internal camera component.
4. DIY one using Analog-to-USB dongle+microphone+raspberry PI or beaglebone --- How to make it do the work without a QWERTY keyboard? Just a few buttons to turn on/off and start/stop recording.
5. Extech borescope BR200/250 --- Can take still pic as well, but useless camera with it, useless wireless screen, maybe also no sound.
......
So, please feel free to post any your ideas, I'll appreciate that!
