I salvaged 2 6-ohm speakers from my grandfather's TV. What is a good amplifier? I thought the PAM8610 modules available everywhere would be good, but they are 10w for 8 ohm and 15w for 4 ohm. I don't need the full 10 watts of volume but something more than the standard 3 watts would be fine

Just me and my scope.

There are pam8406 5w+5w modules, but it looks like you have to go to amazon/ebay

Haven't you guys seen the spec's that say 10% distortion?
Have you ever listened to horrible 10% distortion? It sounds awful.
The "10W" amplifier produces only 5W into 8 ohms or a little more into 4 ohms with reasonably low distortion when the supply is 12V.
A heatsink is needed if the speaker impedance is less than 8 ohms.

But I think the salvaged speakers will also sound awful.
