I'm trying to change the switch on an old Weller soldering station to a  illuminated switch i have

The old switch has 4 pins (two wires from the plug and two from the transformer) the new switch has 3 pins

Can i use this switch if so what wires do i connect to what pins

DO NOT USE THIS SWITCH

The old switch was designed to switch mains voltages between the plug and the transformer primary, your replacement switch is designed to handle 12 volts and (almost certainly) contains a 12v bulb inside to indicate when the contacts are closed.

Please go back to your local retailer and ask for a Double Pole MAINS RATED switch.

Should you find yourself in a chronically leaking boat, energy devoted to changing vessels is likely to be more productive than energy devoted to patching leaks.
