Best method to remove cover from tape and reel package
« on: December 10, 2015, 11:46:19 am »
Hi,

the title says it all: What is the preferred method of peeling the cover tape from tape and reel packaging?
Often I fiddle with a small screwdriver, scalpel or cutter, sometimes with my fingers, sometimes i cut the thicker tape and bend it to release the thinner cover foil... I think there must be a ideal method (or more as there are different combinations like polymer-paper, polymer-polymer sandwiches...)
I'm not a feature, I'm a bug! ARC DG3HDA

Sellotape and peel back, the stronger adhesive wins and makes it easy.
