Best RF book 2015
« on: September 22, 2015, 01:29:41 am »
Hi, its been one year that i got interested in radio frequency, but just interested. By that, i mean i didn't made any project yet, or made more serious study. But i want to learn more about it. I already have the radio amateur official certification book for my country, Canada. I already know some basic electronic stuff, although i am more in digital and firmware. I don't need a book about ohm law and resistor/capacitor or dummy book, but something that is beginner/intermediate/maybe a little bit advance, but not in the dummy nor kamikaze too much extreme range.

Every subject has its bible, or many bible. For example, there is k&r C, Art of computer programming, CLRS(programming), AoE(general electronics)... But what about RF?

I already own AoE, and i am looking for practical electronic for inventor 3rd as a companion of AoE.

Looking for theory, and some schematic/building block about common circuit/operation, like modulator, amplifier.
Book about power electronics and op amp are also welcome.

Not sure any one book can cover all of RF, it's a rather wide field. I would start simple with the ARRL Handbook. They have been published yearly for what like 8 decades? Small changes every year and you should be able to pick up a used one from a past years pretty cheap. That will give basic background on many aspects of RF and a good launching point for further study.

If three 100  Ohm resistors are connected in parallel, and in series with a 200 Ohm resistor, how many resistors do you have?
