Bluetooth design

Hey guys, I've been tasked with designing a board based on the RFDuino BLE module. In the datasheet, it recommends a 1" strip of copper coming off the ground pins (to form a dipole antenna?). I've never done RF stuff before, so I'd like your input.

Since my board has a ground fill, I put a route keepout line to isolate that section, and left a small strip at the end for an electrical connection to ground. Is this the correct thing to do? I also put the same thing on the top and bottom layers. Although, thinking about it, it's probably best to just have one on the top layer, yes?

I'll attach some pictures of my layout, please tell me if I've done something wrong. (ignore the USB connector, it wasn't my idea :palm:)
