Bulk Li-Po Battery Testing?
« on: April 15, 2013, 12:40:38 am »
Hi:

I have undertaken a project where I have ended up with a large pile of used 1300mAh Li-Po batteries that need to be evaluated. Any particular ideas on a good procedure for testing them? They have their own little controller board built into each one. I can of course put a charge on them and test the voltage. Anything else? thanks.

charge em up in parallel at a slow ish rate, then discharge them with a bunch of LEDs seperately, once they get low enough, the LEDs will turn off to not damage the cells and will give you visual indication, grade them based on time taken for the leds to go out.
