Hi
I am a hobbyist as well and lay year I bought my first oscilloscope.
I was torn between Siglent SDS-1202X-E and Rigol 1054z.
I chose at the time 200Mhz siglent and it is a beautiful scope. I enjoy using it all the time. Although at times I felt if I had third or fourth channel to use it will be better.
I never worked with a signal more than 20Mhz or 25Mhz. So I guess the extra bandwidth is just helping me showing the square wave more accurately! [emoji851]
Now in hindsight I would buy Rigol as 50Mhz is enough for me but I get more channels.
But in no way 2 channels are limiting at all. With two channels you can do everything which you need to do and get it done. So find your priorities and buy a scope. You will have tremendous fun.
Here is my video from last year recording my thoughts. Audio is poor but please bear with me.
