Can an Earth Ground Clamp Meter be used to measure normal AC current draw?

Question as title really 

Only have a Megger Earth Clamp Meter 0-35Amp capacity, can it be sued on any single phase AC circuit up to 35Amps?
I believe so but wanted to check, from a quick google it is only the resistance side of the emter that is 'special' the current side is the same as any other clamp meter?
