I'm planning to use a 555 timer to pump a Dickson voltage multiplier with 3 stages.
Ideally, I want a sine wave rather than square. A 3 pole RC filter with the right value parts will do that.
Well it seems to me that we already have 3 caps going to ground, in the Dickson multiplier. Is there any reason why I shouldn't make use of those same caps for a filter? Pop some resistors between them as well as the diodes? Obviously some voltage drop from that, but in this particular case I don't mind.
