Cheap Streaming USB Oscilloscope
« on: February 04, 2017, 11:14:08 am »
Hi,

Just wondering, I'm looking for a streaming USB scope (so that the scope transmits all data directly to the computer
over USB, rather than using a small internal memory).

I think a bandwidth of 10MHz or so would be fine.

I was hoping to pay < $100 or so, but maybe that's not possible?

Cheers

Chris

As far as I'm aware there are only a couple of USB scopes that act as 'dumb' USB streamers, they are the Hantek 6022be and the Sainsmart DDS140...

The other contenders are the Owon VDS1022(I) (sub $100) and the Diglent Analog Discovery ($more)...

(can't find the Diglent teardown thread)

These second two have much more on-board inteligence, triggering etc. which makes them able to achieve higher sample rates, but  less suitable if you're specifically looking for a basic streaming device.
