CNC machine help
« on: April 26, 2016, 03:45:56 pm »
So recently i gotten a CNC machine. (which i am working on for a customer.) But i am having problems working it in the software. This is what i see when i go into the diagnostics area on the program. i do tests on it and it is not running the stepper motors. there IS power going to them however, but the software is not making them actually run. Much help is appreciated. Thanks. :)

P.S. It also comes with routing head and also a heating head to make molds.

Software used: UCCNC
CNC Machine: Generic
Controller: UC100 CNC Motion Controller.

Could be a number of things -

1) Limit switches wired up correctly to controller ?
2) Motor Driver enabled ?
3) You can see with scope motor driver is issuing PWM signals ?
4) Software is not in simulation mode ?

I would be wondering what 'Enable X', 'Enable Y', 'Enable Z' was all about.  They clearly aren't enabled.  See page 15 of 67 in the User Manual.

My experience is with Mach 3 coupled to a SmoothStepper board that actually sends the signals to the stepper drivers.  Works well!
