Constant Current Load

I am working on a constant current load modded after Dave's version..But I was plan on using a cheap panel meter from Ebay.. How hard would it be to use a 2x16 LCD instead in order to display my measurement ? My measurements where input voltage ,load current ,Set current,and total watts ..What would I need to do this and how hard would it be....
