Crimping tool
« on: October 26, 2014, 06:41:57 am »
I'm looking for a crimping tool that can crimp a plug like this:

http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/OTYwWDEyODA=/$T2eC16dHJHoE9n3KgItnBQ%29HzISDIw~~60_57.JPG

From what I read, I *think* I need a non-insulated open barrel crimping tool.

I've looked at so many and I can't seem to find one that handles a 7mm wide open barrel.

Most are F type and they are no good as they have a staggered crimp.

Any suggestions which crimping tool is required?

It's going to be use to terminate 10 awg stranded speaker cable.

It will be pretty much static with no vibration.

Not too sure about current flow. Specs say "40 Amps peak" for the amplifier.

I'm located in Sydney.

I'm not after something very fancy, a cheap crimping tool (not soldering) that will do the job will be fine.
