crystals have only 2 pins, resonators 3, and it looks too small to be a heated temperature controlled oscillator. A lot of SAW filters and other RF things come in similar looking cases?

Is it a part you found or did it come off a device you have?

A bare crystal only has 2 pins but a crystal oscillator would have 3 or 4.

I was thinking it looks like a 4 pin Crystal Oscillator.
