I suppose you can custom order some... but you'd need minimum orders of thousands, maybe.

Digikey has such custom lcd screens from time to time, but in low number... i guess overstock made for some company... and they're hard to find.

There are dot matrix lcd displays with i2c or sci interface (128x128 , 128x32 , x64 etc) which are easy enough to use and you can create custom icons on screen for what you need, but generally they're a bit more expensive because of the driver on the back side ...3-5$ maybe if you buy 100 pcs... for example : http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/COG-C144MVGI-08/153-1146-ND/2523706

if it's one off, you can buy a dirt cheap DT830 and just use its LCD...

I have a strong feeling I know where that seller got those displays. Via another seller on ebay. The other seller sold the displays in packs of 8 and 10. Let's just say he likely paid about half the price of one for the lot of 8 or 10. Every now and then this other seller gets a new batch which always seems to end when I have a meeting at work. |O
