Can crusher is nothing new. Have seen some big ones with a lot of angry pixies in their capacitors.

Reminding me the video where Mikeselectricstuff blows the shit out of the RCBO.  ;D

If you want to see a serious use of this technique, go to Review of Scientific Instruments, sometime in the mid-1970s (sorry that I don't have the citation) for a device that crushed aluminum beer cans quickly to use as a shutter on a high-energy particle beam.

Mythbusters.  Can they do a train carriage oil container?  I'd watch that!  They did it with a vacuum could they do it with a ship generator and a mega HT coil?
