DIY Stenoboard
« on: January 03, 2016, 12:10:25 am »
I’m been wanting a Stenoboard for some time now, but I couldn't buy it, because it will cost way more than the price listed, when I get it here in Denmark.
(Anything shipped to here, from outside Europe, will add a lot of extra cost, when it goes though the airport)

https://github.com/caru/StenoPCB
https://github.com/caru/Stenoboard/wiki/Assembly-Manual---DIY-kit

So I thinking about making it my self.

The parts will be bought from ebay-china, eu.mouser or farnell.com
I will get a 3D printer in about 3 months’ time (Love that cheap price, on an early Kickstarter project), so the Stenoboard-case is covered there.

But I looked at the price, it would take to get the PCB-boards printed, and that gonna hit my budget really hard.
I am new to this world of hobby electronics (even this project will be a milestone to reach), so I don't know Which website got the best price for doing single boards.
(Keep in mind that it need to be in Europa)

Or maybe I can use a Stripboard to redesign it (the Kicad project file is kind of hard to read, but it looks like it got a different design on each side).

Any tips or help, will be greatly appreciated.

I didn't see that the web-shop where you buy all the stuff from, ship all the produces from Italy.
(I feel so stupid  ;D)

So this page is closed for now. Probably gonna update this page when I'm done with it (or get stuck somewhere).
