DIY Ultrasonic Welding
«

I am trying to research the feasability of building a DIY Ultrasonic Welding device for welding 3D Printer filament.
Here is what I have learned so far in the following link.
http://www.plastemart.com/upload/literature/Frequency-in-ultrasonic-plastic-welding-machines-applications-limitations.asp
"An ultrasonic welding machine comprises four main components: a power supply, a converter, an amplitude modifying device (commonly called a Booster) and an acoustic tool known as the horn (or sonotrode). "
I would like to know how to build such a circuit to generate the 20,30 or 40khz and if an off-the shelf "horn" is available somewhere or if it can be made easily.
Thanks for any input you can provide.
(Pardon the open ended nature of this question)

Sounds like a problem similar to this-https://youtu.be/aKhPj7uFD0Y
Basically, you'll have to make a high power high frequency compatible h bridge
