When a DMM goes into auto-shutoff how much drain is on a battery? Or said another way, if hypothetically a battery (shelf-life?) lasted a year in DMM that was fully turned off, would the same battery last a year in sleep mode after auto-shutoff or something less? If less is it negligible, or something significantly less? Or, net, net: if you have auto-shutoff on a DMM is it worth turning the DMM fully off, or is it ok to just let it go into sleep mode? (How much of these answers is DMM model dependent?)
