Well it seems that the Fluke 27 winners will be getting leads shipped from Hong Kong. It turns out it would cost me 5 times more to ship from Chile to the US than buying leads from Franky and having them shipped to the US. So Fluke 27 winners, look for a package from Franky (iloveelectronics here on the forums) in the following days. There will be new Digitek gold plated leads and a couple of extra things.

The packages will be shipped out to the winners within the next hour or :) Hopefully they will receive them in the next week or 2.
My email address: franky @ 99centHobbies . com

Thanks for helping out! I was watching the Fedex truck pass by yesterday hoping it was the fluke 27. I am so excited. and i wonder what the extra things are that you send. guess i will have to wait to see and hopefully be able to pay it forward and help out another inspiring begginner in the future. Again thank you very much for contributing to this, and I hope that TrunKate and her son have a great time aswell and even maybe learn more. yesterday Precision technologies inc. was kind enough to give me a tour of their manufacturing lab. they taght me all that goes into it. all ESD flooring, coats, matting, etc.they went through and told me how the xray inspection of BGA solder joints go through and i loved every minute I was there.

Having dealt with Frankie I can assure you that the extras will be well worth it as well. I know he only keeps things in his store that he uses and likes, and that are good value for money as well. Cheap and good.

Both Fluke 27/FM meters have been shipped.   My post office is in the sticks, so it may take longer than usual.

It looks like I lucked out - although given its a US-spec DMM, it is probably the wrong voltage anyway :(

No - the CDM250 has configuration switches on the back allowing it to run on mains up to 240V

That makes me feel much better :(

Is there any chance we would be able to get a tracking number to see where the package is in shipment? Just don't wanna be able to tell if I should put this plasma fpickupdumpster dive in the closet until it gets here or if I can leave it on the floor for a few more days.

Thank you very much.

Did you get a tracking number for the PM he sent you LOL.  ;)

I have another giveaway ready for the next contest, but I'll let somebody else run it next time. I just keep getting good deals off Ebay.

Depending on if I actually need what's in the giveaway contest I may enter. The way you run it and pick the winners seems pretty nice to me. Maybe one day if I have something cool for a young newbie that I no longer need I will put it into the contest.

Our Fluke 27 came in today and Thomas loves it! He thinks he is something really cool with that huge rockin' Fluke 27. We also received a smaller Fluke from a forum member who wants to remain anonymous. We really do appreciate it!  Check out his excitement: https://imgur.com/a/enX4Y#mMNZ5A4

Nice pics!  The Fluke 27 is bigger but the great thing about it is that it is nearly indestructible. It will survive dropping from table heights and immersion in water.  I have 6 and 8 year old boys so I know how important this can be! ;D

Have fun.

We're all on meter watch ...
even when I'm at school I switch to the tab to see what's happening. I know mail doesn't get to my house til 4-5 but I'm always curious if it's updating. I really should do my work. I had to do a staar test and I didn't get one assignment done. Almost done with 3rd quarter of biology and I'm sitting there. Staring. And reading the forums. I think the teachers believe I'm doing stuff for physics xD they look right at my screen when I'm on the forums and don't care. And I'm listening to the amp hour. Need to reach my goal of 4 assignments a day but the anticipation is making me so anxious xD so excited. Adhd doesn't help much huh?   Yet somehow when I'm on hydrocodone i can focus. It's weird.

Get an old wire coat hanger and cut it in two. Sand off the ends to remove the enamel and use those until you get proper leads.

No.  ;D

What is wrong with 2 6p nails and some ripcord? If you want insulation then use tape.
