Hi everyone,

I have a Tek 465M and I use it often, but I must admit that I really don't know more than 25% of the controls on the front panel and I would like to learn more about them since they obviously must be useful.

I have read over the XYZs of Oscilloscopes one or two times and it is a good primer, but I'm looking for a guide that would help me learn all the controls in depth and strictly for analog scopes since modern literature seems to focus much on digital scopes.

Any recommendations? I've been reading over the 465M manual and it's not bad, but perhaps something else?

Have you watched my Basics of Oscilloscopes class videos?  Or, viewed my various analog scope videos (such as vertical controls, trigger controls, etc., etc.).  Many of my analog scope videos use the 465B as the example scope.

Of course a few seconds after posting I find this: http://njarc.org/books/XYZs%20of%20Using%20a%20Scope/XYZs_of_Using_a_Scope.pdf

An older version of the Tek primer. I'll have to give it a read...any other recommendations are still welcome of course!

Alan I should have thought immediately to you. You seem to be a master on just about any scope. I will definitely (re?)watch them. Thank you.

I taught the class at the NJARC, which was based on that older version of the appnote.  The video of that class is in the "sticky" thread here:
