I`ve been searching but have not located a source for double sided prototype pcb in a veroboard configuration.
Does this item exist. My searches come up with nothing.

I have some

It has tracks on both sides but they are orientated at 90 degrees to eachother. Mine is also plated. No idea where to buy it as I have had the boards for at least 30 years !

I built my first Z80 system on double sided vero complete with 128 bytes of RAM. I've not seen any double sided strip board for at least 20 years, probably longer.

I used to hate the product !  I found it very confusing to use, and still have a sheet tucked away in my workshop which will probably go in the box with me when I'm carried out.

I thought I'd try some of these x-y veroboards so I did the google.

All the search hits go through to other types of double sided prototyping boards. There are eurocards, matrix boards, the type of prototyping boards for DIP chips with power rails down the middle, etc but I could not find anyone selling double-sided veroboard style stripboard with the traces on the two sides running at right angles.

I did find a few references to it on element14 and Farnell http://au.element14.com/jsp/level5/module.jsp?moduleId=en/204671.xml&sku=147900, http://au.element14.com/images/en_AU/pdf/rohs_AU_part2.pdf and http://common.leocom.jp/pdfcat/catalogpage/2-281.pdf but searching for these stripboards by part number or name comes up with no double sided products.
