Hi,

I am trying to design a Double Pulse Tester to investigate the switching losses of a MOSFET, but I'm having trouble with my Capacitor bank. Most of the designs that I found, are using bulk electrolytic caps, film and ceramic capacitors but i don't really understand the use of each one and how they pick their values. Is there any "guide" how to choose them or is it based on experience? Can someone explain ?
