I did it a couple of years again. It is well worth the effort to learn or review the fundamentals. The prof has a bias towards MOSFETs. You'll not find much on regular transistors or FETs. Probably the right choice given the length of the course. Your algebra skills need to be fairly good, and ideally, you need some calculus. It is after all, a college level course.

They say 12 hours/week estimated - probably a little high if you have the pre-requisites. Don't worry about the mention of Maxwell's equations early on - they are immediately abandoned in favor of the lumped circuit abstraction.
