Finding a replacement for an outdated obsolete component

Hi everyone
Wondering what people do to replace an obsolete component from old schematics

the component in question is a AM29F016D / AM29F032D FLASH 16/32 Mbit SMD SO44
If anyone knows a more up to date version of this component, please say

I can change the package - just as long as they have the same pins (different places is fine though) Thanks for the link. I'll take a look now,

Okay, I have had a look and as I expected they have many different pins. And the schematic uses almost all of them on the existing chip.

If you've got any suggestions I would be happy to hear them:)

Also, be wary of the voltage levels. The part I linked is for 3.3V usage.

Just buy them on eBay... very common parts.

I need about 100 of them. And they really aren't very common parts...

Although you're (apparently) not in the US, I'd suggest an obsolete parts source, such as 4starelectronics.com or americanmicrosemi.com.  Just look for an obsolete semiconductor distributor or an obsolete electronic parts distributor.
