That's specific to it being an analog switch. Finding high voltage tolerant logic is difficult.
e.g. the 7407 Hex buffer with open collector outputs, although a 5V device had a Vce breakdown voltage of 30V so could easily be used as a level shifter to control 12V signals. Naively one might suppose that the CMOS functional equivalent would have similar ratings. However the 74HC07, although open drain has upper protection diodes to Vdd on its outputs so cannot be used with an output voltage greater than its supply.
