I have found these things quite useful in breadboarding. 

Basically the Futaba servo format is 3 pin ribbon (or twisted triple) with male or female connectors with the same pitch as standard breadboard headers.  If you hack the surround off the female end you get a 3 pin header.  Males connect directly to standard "breadboard" spaced PCB headers.

Then you can get Y splits, bus bars, extensions etc.

They are incredibly cheap.    If you buy long 30cm Male to Female you can cut them half way for tails to solder with whichever gender of plug you want.

Futaba and JR/Hitec leads are not interchangeable.   Futaba have a tab, JR/Hitec have a bevel.   Personally, I am a JR/Hitec person.  When I buy generic male housings (w/ female connectors), I just use a hobby knife to cut a bevel.  There is no easy way to add a tab.

You also need to consider the type of retention device used.   Some are barb, some indent and at least two types of indent. I prefer the indent, which is typical of JR/Hitec.

Or just buy the cheap ones that have no retention, bevel or tab and work with all 3 pin header type plugs. 

You can't get 3 square header wires into the surround of the female though.  You have to cut the surround off and make it a male header.

I have been doing it a long time and have never had to do that with Berg (or equivalent) contacts and appropriate plastic components.
